The Witch Mansion

I made the base with the scoreboard XL die ‘journal’ from Eileen Hull. I uses an extra piece of chipboard to glue the two pieces together. I covered the chipboard with some paper from my stash and grunged it up a bit.

Then I took the Etcetera Trim from Tim Holtz and glued them to the bottom of the ‘journal’ so it could stand up.

The base was now finished.

For the outside I used the Haunted die from Tim Holtz. I took some watercolor paper and colored it with  Scattered Straw for the moon and the light glow inside the house. The mansion was made with Black out cardstock. I sanded the cardstock before I cut out the little pieces. For the gate I used watercolor paper and colored it with Black Soot.

I also added some vines. These were colored with Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Gathered Twigs and Walnut Stain.

On the back I put some ghosts and spiderwebs. I used two different brands of mixed media paper. I used the same technique to color the paper (blending with a blending tool and spraying with water), the same color (Pumice Stone), but got different results.

I used the one on the left for the spiderwebs, and added some Hickory Smoke. The one on the right, I used for the ghosts.

And then the inside.

For the window, the shelves and fireplace I used Woodgrain paper. I colored the paper with Gathered Twigs, Frayed Burlap, Walnut Stain (crayon) and black soot (crayon)
before die cutting.

I die cut the fireplace several times out of black cardstock. I glued them all together to give it more depth. The stones are from watercolor paper, colored with Black Soot. For the fire I used Scattered Straw, Fossilized Amber and Wild Honey, and for the background in the fireplace Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge and Black Soot.

The moon in the window is made with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber, the sky with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot, the bats, raven, spiders, keys and hat are colored with Black Soot.

For the cauldron I used mixed media paper, colored with Black Soot. I used some grit paste through a stencil to make the stains. I colored the grit paste with Rusty Hinge Oxide. The foam on the cauldron is from the same paper colored with Hickory Smoke and Twisted Citron.

All the other things are made with mixed media paper. And colored with Distress ink.

Colorize Arthur Art Journal

The journal was made with three pieces of greyboard. The pieces were attached together with bookbinders linen.

I used a stencil and Distress Glaze to create a resist on a piece of Mixed Media Heavystock. Then I sprayed some Distress Spray Speckled Egg on the paper. And blended some Antique linnen on it after drying the spray.

I used another stencil to make some contrast with the color Vintage

Photo.

The wooden letters I embossed with Distress Embossing Glaze Speckled Egg.

For Arthur I used mixed media paper and the Distress colors Gathered Twigs, Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo, Tea Dye, Spiced Marmalade, Black Soot, Antique Linen, Salty Ocean. The branch was colored with Ground Espresso and Frayed Burlap.

Dreams of faraway places and daring adventures

For the background I used Distress Ink Speckled Egg an d Antique Linen. I stamped two images on it with embossing ink and used Distress embossing glaze Speckled Egg to emboss it.

The globe was colored by blending Faded Jeans and Forest Moss. Spraye dsome water on it to make it wick. The little globe I colored with the same colors.

For the flowers I used a spritzer and Distress Markers. I spritzed the coloers on the flowers and sprayed them with water. This made the colors wick and blend together.

For the suitcases I used a technique Tim Holtz showed in a facebook live. First you crumble the paper, then you smooth it out a bit. Next you swipe a Distress Ink Pad over the paper and soak ik with water to make the ink react. The last step is putting a hot iron on the wet paper. Keep ironing the paper till it’s dry. It creates some great effects. I used the colors Hickory Smoke, Pumice Stone and Iced Spruce.

Birthday card in green and purple

The background was made with a stenciling technique. First I blended some Antique Linen on the paper. Then I put Distress Ink Bundled Sage on the stencil Trellis and flipped it around on a piece of paper. This created a outline. I really did not like the outcome of this, so I used the stencil like a stencil and blended the ink to fill the outlines. I thought the outcome of this was much better. I also blended some Dusty Concord through a stencil from mini set 5.

The flowers were colored with Distress ink in the same colors as the background.

The bottle was made with the Sizzix Bigz die Bottled up. I put collage medium on it, after this dried I put distress crackle paint on it and after that dried some Walnut Stain Distress Crayon.

For the tag I udes some Distress Ink Wanut stain to color the edges .

Focus on the good

For this project I used a lot of colors Distress Ink, so many that I can’t remember all of them. The scene is set in a Etcetera Tray.

For the background I used some greens and blues Distress Ink. The sun was made with the Sizzix die Circle Play.

The birds are made with the Sizzix die Featheres Friends and the flowerpot with the bigz die Potted.

For the background I also used the thinlits dies Funky Floral #1 and #2, and the bigz die Tree Rings Mini.

The trees are made with the bigz die Branches. I cut the different branches and glued them together so they would fit on the front of the tray. I put the leaves around the branches and randomly put the flowers between the leaves. For the leaves I used the die Garden Greens and for the flowers Funky Floral #2.

To finish the scene I glued some flowers from Idea-ology Bouquet and some moss down.
