Tim Holtz Colorize Theodore, Clarence, Winifred and Gertrude

Hi everybody,

The colorize dies from Tim Holtz and Sizzix are so much fun to work with. I just love putting these animals together.

Theodore

The background was created with paper from the paperstash Wallflower. I used the Sizzix die Stacked Tiles Squares to cut squares in different sizes and glued them randomly to the background with collage medium. After it dried I put some Distress Crayon Walnut Stain on it. Wiped some off through a stencil to create some lighter spots. I splattered some Distress Ink Walnut Stain and Distress Paint Picked Fence on it.

Theodore was made with Black Out Cardstock. Sanding it brings out the brown back of the paper.

The lace edge and the flowers on all four cards were colored with Distress Markers and a Spritzer. After spritzing the markers I sprayed some water on it to make the colors wick out.

Clarence

The background paper is from Paperstash Wallflower. The circles were cut with the Sizzix die Stacked Tiles Circles. It’s colored with some Distress Ink Walnut Stain.

Clarence was made with different shades of grey cardstock and some white and pink cardstock

Winifred

The background was made with white cardstock, Distress Ink Tattered Rose and Fired Brick, stencil Digits and stamp Baroque. I stamped with embossing ink and used Distress Embossing Glaze Tattered Rose and Fired Brick.

Winifred was made with black, grey and white cardstock.

Gertrude

For the background I used the stencil Trellis and Distress Texture Paste Crackle. I sprinkled Distress Embossing Glaze Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain on the still wet paste. After it dried and crackled I melted the embossing Glaze.

I also used the stencil mini set #1 on the background and Distress Ink Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint and Walnut Stain.

Gertrude was made with different shades of brown cardstock.
