Beware!

The box was made with a design from Scraptacular. It’s originally called ‘Library of dreams’. I changed some things and turned it into a Halloween box.

The outside of the box I covered with pattern paper. I used inks, crackle paste and paint to darken the paper. I used so much ink that the pattern on the paper is mostly gone.

On the inside I used pattern paper, mummy-cloth, moss, sisal and some snow-blanket to make spiderweb.

The bottles are made with beads.

Also used a lot of Idea-ology from Tim Holtz.

Tamy Bastiaans has a tutorial on her blog for the drippy candle. You can find her blog here.
Tim Holtz also made a demo how to make these. you can find it here.

The cauldron is made with clay and beads.

And some lights to light it up.

Halloween tags part 1

Tim Holtz and Sizzix had such an amazing Halloween release this year. Absolutely detailed and fun.

Mr Bones

I colored the background with Distress Ink Ground Espresso, Rustic Wilderness, Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire and Dusty Concord.

For Mr Bones I used Watercolor cardstock and Distress Ink Pumice Stone. The ink is heavier on the back layers to make the color darker.

I used an older Sizzix die to create the gate to the graveyard.

Halloween The Count

The Sizzix / Tim Holtz release for Halloween is an absolutely wonderful release.

For this make I used several of the dies.

I wanted to make a tag, started with the background, decided that I wanted a window in it, with a moon… Than I thought what if the moon lights up…So, as Tim Holtz always says, tiny lights for the win. A tag turned into something more…

For the tag and the box behind the tag I used thick chipboard. It makes it strong enough to stand up.

The background was made with a piece of watercolor cardstock, a 3D embossing folder and ink. I think the stone wall turned out great, thanks to Zoe Hillman’s tutorial. You can find the tutorial here.

For the torn wallpaper I used one of the papers from Idea-ology Backdrops.

The sky is made with ink on vellum. I used the new moon mask from Tim Holtz to create the moon.

For the window  I used woodgrain paper and some Distress spray stains.

For The Count, candles, pumpkin, cat, bats, spiders and ivy I used different kind of cardstocks. I listed everything below, I’m only nit sure I remembered everything. I was having so much fun, that I didn’t write everything down.

I used the dies to cut the pieces out of white cardstock. I left the pieces in the paper. Then I colored the pieces with distress inks.

For the ground I used a mixture of Deco-art Media Texture Sand paste with mini art stones from Finnabair and Distress paint Ground Espresso and Black Soot.
