Enjoy the little things in life

First I made the background. I used watercolor paper and blended Distress ink Speckled Egg and Faded Jeans. Then I run it through my Big Shot with the 3D embossing folder Engraved. To lighten it I carefully rubbed some white wax on it.

The flowers were cut first and then colored with distress ink and a waterbrush.

Live for the moments you cannot put into words

The background is a #8 Distress tag. I blended Distress Ink Speckled Egg in the middle of the tag. Around that I used Tea Dye, Walnut Stain and Ground Espresso.

I used the stamps The Poinsettia and Spring Shadows from Tim Holtz and stamped some text and swirls on this background with Archival Ground Espresso and Vintage Photo. I also used embossing ink and Distress embossing glaze Speckled Egg.

I also put Distress embossing glaze Walnut Stain around the edge of the tag.

The inkwell and writing feather are from the Sizzix bigz die Writing Desk.
For the colors I used Distress Ink Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Pumice Stone, Walnut Stain and Ground Espresso. On top I put some Distress Crackle Paint Clear Rock Candy.

Go where your heart takes you

I started with #8 Distress tag. I blended Distress Ink Antique Linen in the middle  of the tag. Around that I used Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso.

I used the Poinsettis stamp on this background with Archival Ground Espresso and Vintage Photo. I also used embossing ink and Distress embossing glaze Vintage Photo.

I also put the Distress embossing glaze around the edge of the tag.

For the wings I used the 3D embossing folder Winged. I love the details of this impresslit. The wings are colored with Distress Crayons.

The heart is made with the bigz die Heartfelt. I cut the heart three times and glued them together. I put some texture paste crackle on it with some embossing glaze. I finished it with Distress Crayon.

Behind the winged heart I used some Mummy cloth and sisal fibers.

2021

A simple card for the beginning of a new year.

For the background I used some of my favorite brown colors of distress inks: Ground Espresso, Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo.

I then cut out some 3D  bursts from metallic kraftstock and some circle words from white cardstock and glued these to the background.

To make the numbers 2021 stand out I cut them out three time and glued them on top of each other to an piece of vellum paper.
